What’s in it?

Products & advertising1/5
Why this rating?

Realistic brands or products may appear incidentally, but there is no indication of advertising or pressure to buy merchandise.

Death of a character4/5
Why this rating?

The murder of three Coast Guard members is the central mystery and an important emotional premise.

Graphic injury2/5
Why this rating?

Murder and injuries are part of the investigation, but the available evidence does not establish extensive or highly graphic gore.

Strong language3/5
Why this rating?

The police-procedural and criminal-thriller setting likely includes recurring strong language, but no specific examples are supplied.

Romance1/5
Why this rating?

Adult relationships may be mentioned, but romance appears peripheral to the murder investigation and undercover plot.

Frightening scenes3/5
Why this rating?

Multiple murders, armed criminals, undercover infiltration, and hazardous deep-water diving create sustained suspense and danger, though this is not primarily supernatural horror.

Sexual content & nudity1/5
Why this rating?

The available assessment indicates only brief adult relationship references, without explicit sexual content or sexualized nudity.

Alcohol or drugs4/5
Why this rating?

Drug smugglers and a criminal drug operation are central to the investigation, including recovery of hidden drugs.

Violence4/5
Why this rating?

The central investigation concerns the murders of three Coast Guard members, criminal operations, and dangerous undercover encounters.

What’s good in it?

Courage & resilience4/5
Why this rating?

The protagonist frequently engages in dangerous undercover work to bring criminals to justice.

Creativity & curiosity2/5
Why this rating?

The undercover operation, drug-recovery scheme, and investigative problem-solving may engage readers' strategic imagination.

Diverse representation1/5
Why this rating?

The available information identifies male leads and a female partner but provides little evidence about broader representation or character depth.

Educational value1/5
Why this rating?

The story may offer incidental insight into investigations, Coast Guard work, and diving, but teaching is not its main purpose.

Kindness & empathy2/5
Why this rating?

Investigators cooperate and may support colleagues, but the available plot emphasizes crime, danger, and professional investigation rather than kindness.

Positive messages3/5
Why this rating?

The narrative emphasizes the necessity of law and order and the pursuit of justice, even at significant personal risk.

Good role models3/5
Why this rating?

Davenport and Flowers serve as competent, albeit morally grey, professional investigators working to protect others.
