Important: Dickens & Rumi provides informational suggestions, not guarantees that a title is suitable for a particular person. Parents and guardians remain responsible for reviewing the information and making final choices.
Who may use the service
You may browse public information without an account. Accounts are intended for adults and users old enough to consent to these terms under applicable law. Children under 13 may not create an account or submit content.
Catalogue information and AI
Descriptions, metadata, ratings, reading orders and content notes may come from public metadata, cited sources, community submissions, human review and AI-assisted assessment. Information can be incomplete, outdated, edition-specific or incorrect. “Not mentioned,” “unknown” and a rating of zero are not interchangeable. Always use your own judgment and consult the work or cited evidence when a category is important to your decision.
User submissions
If you submit a review, correction or content note, you confirm that it is truthful to the best of your knowledge, relates to the identified work, does not include confidential or unnecessary personal information, and does not copy protected text beyond what the law permits. You grant Dickens & Rumi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, moderate, edit for clarity, display and use that submission to operate and improve the catalogue. You retain ownership of your original contribution.
Prohibited conduct
You may not scrape the service in a way that disrupts it, bypass security or rate limits, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, use the service unlawfully, upload infringing material, or attempt to obtain private reviewer data or API credentials.
Moderation and accounts
We may remove submissions, restrict automated traffic, suspend accounts or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties. We may correct or remove catalogue records without notice.
Third-party services
The service links to libraries, booksellers, streaming-search services and other third parties. We do not control their content, availability, prices, policies or transactions. Their terms apply when you use them.
Affiliate disclosure
Some retailer links are affiliate links. Dickens & Rumi may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not determine content ratings or the order in which ratings are approved.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free AI output.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Dickens & Rumi and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the service, third-party links or reliance on catalogue information. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may change the service or these terms. Continued use after updated terms are posted means you accept the revised terms, to the extent allowed by law.
